Mon: 10/26 Our last day..

MY BEAUTIFUL MOTHER!!! (@Famous Dave's!)

Armando going to scrape ice and snow off his car so he could go to work!

Monday morning Armando had to go to work. Mom and I got up and showered then picked Tammy and Judy up! We went to the huge Goodwill store, to the Post Office and then met Armando for lunch at Famous Dave's BBQ! Lunch was great, then we all headed back to our house. Tammy took a short nap, and the rest of us sorted through pictures. Time flew by and before we knew it, it was 3:00.... time to take them to the airport! It's only a short drive to the airport, I was very sad to say see you later!

I had the best time this past weekend with everyone, but it was beyond great to see my Mother! My Mom has been my best friend my entire life! We share everything together! It was amazing being able to share Colorado with her, the mountains, and our first big snow! It was even more amazing that I got to share it with both of my best friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so thankful for both Armando and my mother! This was truly a weekend to remember!

I look forward to more visits in the future!

God is Good!!!!! <><

Love you all, and look forward to ALL of you visiting us soon!

Sunday morning Armando, Mom, and I all got up early to go get Tammy and Judy at their hotel! On our way we made a quick stop by McDonald's for breakfast, then headed off to Pike's Peak! When we arrived they told us it was going to be half the price it usually is becaue we could only go 14 miles up due to weather! Shortly after entering the park we started seeing little patches of snow! The further we drove, the more we saw! Once we got to Glen Cove which was the stopping point there was over a foot of snow on the ground! We were all really excited! It was beautiful!!!!! There was also a fox that came right up to us... the workers said he was always there, and that his name was Wilbur! We took pictures, then went inside to do a little shopping, and while we were I looked outside to see it snowing like crazy! The roads were covered as we headed back down! Armando did great driving though! We decided to go on to Cripple Creek. While we were there we had lunch and due to all of the snow that was falling we decided we should leave before dark! As we headed down the mountain the roads were covered with snow, and it was hard to see. The wipers were frozen and not removing the ice and snow very well from the windows!!! It was beautiful but scary! We had many, many laughs on our way back down! We stopped at Walmart and printed pictures once we got back to Colorado Springs then went home for the night, where we had 3 to 4 inches of snow! It was a perfect snowy day that I am so glad I got to share not only with Armando but my Mom and family!!! It was definetly a day we all will never forget!

We arrived at Manitou Springs after a short drive, found a parking spot and ventured down the beautiful streets of Manitou where the Emma Crawford Coffin Races and parade were about to happen! The streets were full of people shopping, hanging around for the parade and races, and lots of people dressed in all kinds of costumes!!!! It was very neat! We went in lots of little shops, including an old arcade where we all played an old bowling game!! Later we ate some homemade candy from the Candy Store and just enjoyed the morning, laughing and taking lots of photos!

After watching the parade we had dinner at a neat little restraunt! Then we went to The Garden of the Gods! Aftre Garden of the God's we took my family to the High Drive! Along the way we stopped at Helen Hunt Falls which was beautiful as always! I think my family enjoyed seeing the view of the city!! Next we dropped Tammy and Judy off and went home for the night!

Friday morning Armando got up early for PT and I got up and finished getting things ready for my family! When he got home we cooked a spiral ham, Dressing and potato salad to have for lunch when they got here! Armando went and got a quick oil change, then we were off to the airport to pick them up!!!! We got to see their plane fly in which was very exciting! It was so great to see all of them especially my Little Momma walking down that hallway towards us!!!

After we left the airport we came to our house and showed them around and had dinner then went out shopping for a while! After lots of shopping, we took Judy and Tammy to get a hotel room and Armando, Mom, and I came back to the house and just spent time together!

Once again...

We woke up to another cold, snowy day here in Colorado! The mountains are absolutely beautiful!! Armando is at work, I'm home cleaning, getting everything ready for my family to come into town on Friday! I made some Cheesy chicken noodles in the slow cooker for a quick warm lunch for Armando, put some pictures in albums, and am about to wash some clothes and just try to stay warm! Most of you will probably remember the headboard I talked about Armando and I making.... well, we finished it and I finally have pictures to share! We love it! I think it turned out great!!

I also got to spend some time talking to my Grandmother this morning! It always makes me feel good to hear her voice! You all know I'm a "Ma's, Girl!!"

Well, I have lots of planning to do! Just wanted to give a quick update, and post pictures of our headboard! Hope you all are doing well and have a great week!

Love you all!!

What a Weekend!!!!

Friday afternoon Armando came in from a day at the Range and he was sick! He seemed like he was getting a cold so he laid down and slept pretty much all night! We got up Saturday morning and he was still sick! I could feel the heat from his body from the fever he had! Saturday afternoon I finally talked him into going to the Emergency Room! They put us in masks and everthing just incase it was H1N1. Thankfully, it wasn't but Armando did have the flu! They gave him lots of medicine, and thankfully he got lots of rest, and is starting to feel better! Monday, was Armando's appointment with a new doctor about his shoulder! This doctor said Armando definetly needed surgery! He will be having surgery on Dec. 4th! We're nervous about that, but hoping that it's what he needs to be better! Dr. Schumer, seemed great! He said that it was a bad surgery, and he would probably go in 5 different places! We hated to do it in December but that was the earliest possible time! During all of this, I apparently got food poisoning!!! I feel better though!

My Mom, Aunt Judy, and Tammy Jo are coming into town this Friday! We are super excited and cannot wait to pick them up at the airport! I definetly am looking forward to seeing my Mom!!! It's been way too long! I'm so happy she's gonna be able to see where we live now!

Armando went back to work today, I'm about to do some cleaning and start planning our weekend! I will write more later, and definetly be posting pictures this weekend!!!!

Lots of love!!!

The big freeze! :)

What a weekend, Friday afternoon we carved pumpkins and had dinner with friends! As we were enjoying company in our toasty apartment the temperature changed drastically! We woke up Saturday morning to everything iced over and 22 degree weather! The high on Saturday only reached 24, and that night the low got all the way down to 16!!!!!!! Early Saturday morning their was a 50 car pile up on I-25! They put the city under a Traffic warning, and the accidents continued to happen throught the day/night and their have been even more this morning! Our friends the Bazans got out to go get dinner and wrecked also! They are all okay, Thank God, but are feeling very sore this morning! Armando and I stayed inside all day, but got out last night to take Lupe to work right down the street since their truck is messed up. We didn't want him to walk in the cold weather! We slid a little but made it there safely and back home! Looks like we are definetly gonna have to look into getting something with 4-wheel drive! We took a few pictures, it's weird going out and seeing our pumpkin covered in ice! We are starting to get concerned about the winter that lies ahead! Looks like we're gonna be in for some crazy weather!

Oh, before I forget, Friday morning we went to the zoo. We had a good time, but I wasn't impressed at all! The zoo smelled terrible! Seems like the "upkeep" doesn't even exsist! None the less we just had a good time together! We saw 7 big bucks on the way home! They were just standing around in the road and along the side! Still haven't seen a bear but we're on the lookout! ;) Hope you guys enjoy eeing the pictures!

Love you all very much!
